What Information We Collect
"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. First Citizens National Bank collects nonpublic personal information about you, such as your income, net worth, and Social Security number. Nonpublic personal information also includes information regarding your account balance and payment history. We collect nonpublic personal information from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
- Information about your transactions with us or others;
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency; and
- Information we obtain through the use of our website and on-line banking.
What Information We Disclose
We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law. For example, we are permitted by law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to "nonaffiliated third parties" (third parties that are not members of our corporate family):
- To assist us in servicing your loan or account with us;
- To provide services you have requested or initiated;
- To government entities in response to subpoenas;
- Sending information returns to the Internal Revenue Service; and
- To credit bureaus.
We are permitted by law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account with our affiliates, companies related to us by common control or ownership. THIS INFORMATION SHARING WILL NOT INCLUDE ACCOUNT BALANCES UNLESS YOU AUTHORIZE IT.
We may also share additional information about you or your account (such as application information we receive from you, information from credit reporting agencies and insurance information) with our affiliates. One of the benefits of this sharing would include improved customer service by offering additional services and benefits to you. You may opt out of this sharing of additional information by contacting us using one of the methods shown at the end of this disclosure.
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements (for example, to provide free accidental life insurance on checking accounts). This information, however, will not include unencrypted account numbers, account balances, or transaction history.
We do not share medical or health information among our affiliates or unaffiliated third parties except to process transactions or to provide services you have requested or initiated. This information will only be disclosed as necessary to carry out the purpose for which it was originally disclosed or as permitted by law.
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any other third parties, except as permitted by law.
If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy polices and practices as described in this notice.
Customer Identification Requirements
In accordance with Section 326 of the USA Patriot Act, all persons are subject to the identity verification requirements even though they may be a long-term customer of and well known to the bank.
For the purpose of the regulation, an "account" includes every formal banking relationship that entails ongoing services, dealings, or transactions. Some examples are a deposit account, loan, trust relationship or safe deposit box rental.
If you request to open an account or become a signatory on an account with the bank and the bank has not previously verified your identity under the new regulatory requirements, the bank will request documentary verification of your identity, such as a driver's license or passport and/or it will verify your identity through other nondocumentary methods. Similar identification requirements apply to business entities such as corporations and partnerships.
Our Security Procedures
First Citizens National Bank restricts access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information in the normal course of business. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the Federal Interagency Guidelines Establishing Information Security Standards.

You may limit our affiliates, White and Associates First Citizens Insurance, LLC and First Citizens Financial Plus, Inc., from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that we collect and share with them. This information may include your income, your account history with us, and your credit history.
Your choice to limit marketing offers from our affiliates will apply permanently after you tell us of that choice. If you have a joint account, your decision will also apply to all owners on the account. No renewal of your decision shall be necessary.
